JOSEPH BARTO
Joseph Allen Barto, 65, of Ter-
ra Alta, formerly of Newburg,
died Wednesday, January 05.
2011, at Hopernont Hospital.
He was born September 22.
1945, in Newburg, a son of the
late James and Corn Mae (Mc-
Ginnis) Barto.
He had owned a trailer park,
,drove truck and school bus. He
worked for a while as town po-
lice officer in Reedsville and
served as Mayor, of Newburg.
Before illness forced his retire-
ment, he operated car lots in
Newburg and Grafton.
He is survived by three broth-
ers; Paul, Robert, and Wil-
liam Barto; four sisters; Mary
K. Barto, Cookie Burke, Faye
McVicker, and Theresa Huff-
man; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by three
brothers; James, Donald and
Ronald Burro.
Friends were received Friday,
January 7, at the Morgan Funer-
al Home. Funeral services were
held in the funeral home chapel,
Saturday, January 8, 2011, with
Rev. Robert Uphold officiating.
Burial followed in the Damon
Cemetery, in Newburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family
has requested memorial dona-
tions be made to: Hospice Care,

He was preceded in death by
two brothers: Prentiss Kisner
and Donald Kisner and four sis-
ters: Wilma. Maxine. Mary, and
Dorothy.
Friends were received at the
Field Funeral Home in Ma-
sontown on Tuesday January
11. 2011. Services will be held
at 11 a.m.. today, Wednesday,
January 12. 2011 at the Fu-
neral Home. Military rites will
be conducted by the Preston
County VFW Honor Guard.
WVANG Honor Guard. and the
Preston County Vietnam Vet-
erans of America Chapter 977.
Cremation services will follow.

ceived at the Rotruck-Lobb
Kingwood Chapel on Friday,
January 7, 2011, where services
were held on Saturday, Janu-
ary 8,2011 in the funeral home
chapel, with Reverend Charles
Grant officiating. Interment fol-
lowed at the Aurora Cemetery.

RUTH TEETS
Ruth Evans Teets, 89, of Terra
Alta, died Wednesday, January
in the church choir for 70 plus
years, served in various church
offices, boards and committees.
She was a Sunday school teach-
er and longtime member of
the adult Sunday School class.
She was also a member of the
Women's Society of Christian
Service, the Wesleyan Service
Guild and the United Methodist
Women.
She was initiated into Terra
Alta Chapter #63 Order of East-
ern Star on May 5, 1943, re-
ceiving her 50 year pin in 1993.
During her years of member-
ship she served in all of the vari-
ous chairs (offices) and served
as Grand Treasurer of the Grand
Chapter OES of West Virginia
from 1976 thru 1987.
She was then named Grand
Treasurer Emeritus of the WV
Grand Chapter. She spent many
enjoyable hours traveling with
and visiting her OES broth-
ers and sisters throughout the
County and State.
Ruth was a charter member
and lot owner of Mountaintop
Vacationland, now Alpine Lake,
where she served on the Board.
She also was a member of the
Board of Directors of the First
National Bank of Terra Aim, a
long time member of the Terra
Alta Civic Club and the Terra
Alta Community Ambulance
Service serving as Treasurer
of both organizations. She was
also a member of the Terra Alta
Community Choir for many
years.
She is survived by her twin sis-
PAUL BEVERIDGE, JR.
Paul Rawleigh (Butch) Be-
veridge, Jr.. 68, of Kingwood
died on Saturday, January 8,
2b11•
He was born December 1,
1942, in Bretz, the son of the
late Paul Rawleigh Beveridge,
Sr. and Irene Muriel Wolfe Be-
veridge.
He was a coal miner for Pres-
ton Energy, a Security Guard
for Doris Duke and showed
prize cattle for Vauclause farms.
He is survived by his ex-wife
Carole Evans Beveridge, of
Kingwood, three daughters and
spouses: Brenda and Steve My-
ers, of Newburg, Tummy Be-
veridge, of ,Nutter Fort, Polly
and Randy Adams, of King-
wood, a special aunt, Betty Be-
veridge Walls. of Arthurdale;
four grandchildren and a great-
granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death
by a sister. Polly Ann Beveridge
Taylor and granddaughter, Ra-
chel Myers.

JEFFERY WOLFE
Jeffery Allen Wolfe, 52, of
Terra Aha (Cranesville Com-
munity), died Tuesday, Janu-
ary 4, 2011, at Ruby Memorial
Hospital, Morgantown. He was
born October 16,1958, in Oak-
land, MD, a son of Elmer C.
and Rosetta M. Listen Wolfe, of
Terra Alta.
He was a member of the Lau-
rel Glen Church of the Brethren.
a member of the Handyman's
Club of America. He enjoyed
solving puzzles, fixing eletron-
ics, making crafts (especially
cutting snowflakes), listening to
